Global Supply Lines Brace for Economic Storm to Widen

The Institute for Supply Management’s factory index dropped to 59.3 last month from 64.7 in January. While readings above 50 indicate expansion, they also show that companies were under more pressure to fill orders amid supply bottlenecks and rising demand. The measure of new orders fell to the lowest level since September while production eased and a gauge of supplier deliveries was at its highest since 2011. Learn more here.
